Overview
Svngs+ ("the app") is a personal savings rate tracker for iPhone and iPad, developed by Michael Lawrence. This policy explains what data the app uses, where it lives, and what we do with it.
The short version: Svngs+ has no backend server, no user accounts, and no analytics. Your data never leaves your device unless you choose to enable iCloud sync — and even then, it goes only to your own private iCloud account.
Data We Do Not Collect
Svngs+ does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Personal or identifying information (name, email, phone number)
- Financial account details, bank connections, or credentials
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics, session data, or crash reports sent to us
- Location data
- Any data sold or shared with third parties for marketing
Data Stored on Your Device
All data you enter — monthly income, savings amounts, goal rates, and history — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data does not leave your device unless iCloud sync is enabled (see below).
Your in-app settings and preferences are stored in your device's local storage and are never transmitted to us.
iCloud Sync (Optional)
Svngs+ offers optional iCloud sync powered by Apple's CloudKit. If you choose to enable this:
- Your data is synced privately through your personal iCloud account
- It is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
- It is accessible only to you, across your own Apple devices
- We — the developer — have no access to your iCloud data at any time
iCloud sync is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in your device's Settings.
Biometric Authentication
Svngs+ supports Face ID and Touch ID to protect access to the app. Biometric authentication is handled entirely by iOS — biometric data is processed locally on your device by Apple's Secure Enclave and is never accessible to the app or to us.
Purchases
Svngs+ offers a one-time optional in-app purchase to unlock full history access. All transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information. Purchase and receipt verification are handled natively through Apple's StoreKit framework.

Children's Privacy
Svngs+ is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, it is safe for use across ages in a family context.
Changes to This Policy
If the app's data practices change in a future version, this privacy policy will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the app following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
